A bill has been introduced into the Israeli parliament which would require all ISPs to give their customers a choice: if you want absolutely free web access you must give your age and ID every time you access a site that contains porn\\violence\\gambling; alternatively you can choose to remain anonymous and have that kind of site automatically filtered out.
What do you think? Is this a legitimate protecting of the vulnerable or crass censorship?
Of course, there is no guarantee that this private member's bill will be enacted into law; but neither is there any guarantee that it won't.
