Ribbons fly in the night,
Colors of the rainbow, together in flight.
Smile for me when its all alright.
be sad for me in the middle of the night..
I'm just a child, wanting to be loved,
Without a home, without anything...
But I want you to smile for me,
Don't be sad.
Be happy for who you have.
Even tho I'm only 12,
I wish I was well enough,
to make a friend, any friend,
instead of always lying in the same old bed.
Not asking for much, just a time or two,
Where we can be friends, all you out there,
Outside the bedroom window, going on your daily duties.
Live your lives, if only for me.
life is a door that is always open for you,
Like the doctors that give needles in us.
We cant go out, so its hard when we get them,
But we close our eyes, and imagine a life,
Where we have our hair, and everything is right.
Cause now, we don't have our hair,
We've got cancer, don't you know.
Not asking for sympathy, just a friend,
just a friend who can hold my hand.
Maybe love...
Only a child, awaiting each tomorrow.
I still smile, even though it hurts.
So live your life, cause I cannot.
Be beautiful...

I also wrote this while listening to Hilary Duff - Stranger. It's a great song, and I love the video for it. If you wanna check it out, here's the link.

I hope you all like the poem. I wrote it because I was thinking about how many sick kids there are in the world right now, with, or without cancer. i hope you all like it.
