'In parts of the world partnership rights or marriage have been extended to lesbians and gay men, a further extension of social globalisation. Marriage becomes hugely important when lovers are not from the same country. Without marriage, or an equivalent right to immigrate, a couple or occasionally even family can be broken up based solely on the sexes of the people involved, and may be illegal in some states. Some people choose to ignore those laws. Many religions do not tolerate gay marriage.'
Hello everyone^__^ Tonight, I will start out my post, with a quote from my trusted friend, Wikipedia^_^
It's talking about equal rights for the gay community.
First of all, let me say that the fact that it is in some countries, !illegal! to marry someone you love, who happens to be of the same gender as you, I find that to be ridiculous!
I guess it all comes back to... hmm. (is just thinking at the present time^^) *laughs* !The Bible!
It makes me mad that some people who are conservative (I think this is right) who have a bad view on LGBT people are, in some areas, running things.
In Canada, where I am (yay^_^) our 'Prime Minister' (I put it in quotes cause i hate him^_^) Steven Harper is on the conservative part of the board. Don't blame me, I didn't vote for him.
Let me come to a quick slight finish by saying, that people need to learn to open themselves up a little more... Anyone can love who ever they please. And it's wrong for government to say that they can't love eachother.
Thanks for reading this^_^ Loves you all^_^ (As Always^_^)
