A few weeks ago inadvertantly I was rude to one of the posters here. A post that I had intended to be amusing was construed as insulting. I apologised, but, as far as I know, my apology was not accepted. So I did what I have done on a couple of occasions in the past, for various reasons: I "exiled" myself to lurkerland for two weeks. I did this because I was very upset with myself that I had offended, even though I had not meant to do so. I note with a rather wry grin that no one missed me or asked where JFR was . For all I know, now that I am back in harness there are some (many?) out there saying to themselves, "Oh no! Not him again!"
There are several threads to which I would like to contribute, so, contrary to my self-imposed rule of no more than 1 or 2 posts per day, I am going to have a field day. It's for that that God created the delete button .
By the way, I apologise yet again to the person I inavertently offended and would like to know that I am forgiven.

The paradox has often been noted that the United States, founded in secularism, is now the most religiose country in Christendom, while England, with an established church headed by its constitutional monarch, is among the least. (Richard Dawkins, 2006)
