Ron doesn't post here very often nowadays. He used to. He still reads sometimes.

He just told me that his father died, about 4 hours ago now. Apart from holding a job down, Ron has been his father's carer for the past few years as well as his son.

As with all father/son relationships they had their moments! And they loved each other. Ron is now facing sorting out all those little things one has to sort out and is feeling numb. For the first time in his life he can;t as his dad's opinion, even if he would have ignored it!
