I've been thinking serously about coming out for several months, years actually, and then changing my mind like a ping-pong ball. And obviously, me being the rare thinking, logical teenager (look at me, tooting my own horn, lol!) was sitting last night doing some research about what information I could give to people I tell to get rid of the heinous and disturbing myths surrounding homosexuality.
I've found some good stuff at http://www.fflag.org , http://www.outproud.org and http://www.triangle.org.za and it made me wonder if anyone just happened to have something stored in the deep dark recesses of their harddrives or favourites lists they could forward to me. The LBGT organisation on campus - lesbigay - is just about going nowhere slowly and seems rather unorganised, uneducated and under-resourced. Lately its degenerated to the point where only desperate gay students go to pick up an easy one-night-stand. Needless to say, they've been no help, despite running around frantically and making vague prommises and tiring themselves out in the process.
Btw, if I were looking to try to whip the place back into a functioning organisation, what would anyone advise?
