Equinox and and Solstice are passe. The 8.8 earthquake in Chile has slowed the Earth's rotation and bent the Earth's axis, making these earlier measures useless for the task of season change determination. The new determinant for spring, for instance, is the Crocus. The snow melted off and mine were in full bloom for a couple of hours this afternoon. They closed up as the sun dimmed. So, under this new standard, I am the first to announce the advent of spring to the northern hemisphere. Smile
