Last week i went on spring break. My friend and I decided to go on road trip to Florida. In eight days, we drove 2,200 miles Smile. We stopped in Tampa, Miami, Key West, and Orlando. It was exhausting, fun, crazy, dramatic, and everything in between. Overall, i had an amazing time.

What made this trip even better was my traveling companion. He is a student from Newcastle, England. He is studying at my University for a year and over the past few months we have become quite close friends. He is gay, funny, and very attractive i might add. We talked about doing this trip for a while and as you can probably imagine, we were thrilled to embark on this adventure.

For me it was a learning opportunity. I have been coming to this site for a long time. Most of the people who visit this site are from England. The United States and England, although both sharing similarities, are culturally world's apart. I figured this would be a great opportunity to learn what makes British people 'British'.

My friend and I had a lot of time to talk about everything. Average travel time from city to city was 4-5 hours. The only way to stay awake was to talk or sometimes listen to music. Additionally, we shared a hotel room and went out everyday. We were practically inseparable, i'm surprised we didn't annoy each other too much. His conversations would usually start with... In England we do this and this...and i would follow by saying... In America we do this and this...;-D. It was interesting to realize that in both countries people talk different, and not just in the accent or the words, but the general tone and meaning. The social system is vastly different. For example, my friend feels like child whenever we go out because he can't go to a bar like he was able to back home.

Here are two of my favorite pictures from the trip

You don't love someone because they are beautiful, they are beautiful because you love them.
