A civil servant in the UK foreign office has been transferred to "other duties" for suggesting in an official memorandum that during his visit to Britain His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI should be invited to:
* bless a new gay bar
* open a home for unmarried mothers
* launch a new brand of "Benedict Condoms".
Why on earth did Foreign Secretary Milleband see fit to apologise to the Vatican? I think these are excellent ideas.
