I wrote a story some twenty years ago in which I had one character say to another that he had to leave because there was a "crisis in Uganda..there's always a crisis in Uganda."
Africa has been in the news a lot lately, especially about Uganda. But now we see another side to the mismanagement of a country. Rwanda is losing it's credibility as a reformed state after the massive genocide of the past decade. They are on track to become the newest North Korea.
Any country that violates human rights in the name of progress deserves our contempt. Snatching adults and children off the streets to "educate" them, incarcerate them without due process, and leave their families destitute is an irrational means of state control.
It's time for foreign nations to examine the relationship we have with this country, Rwanda's government have become the new Taliban in Africa.
