A Boy and his Dog.

A boy and his dog; there's just no better team;
when all things considered, it's the ultimate dream.
The dog wakes the boy as he's nobody's fool;
and he waits by the window, till he's back home from School.

And jumping like crazy, around his young Sir;
The dog loves him dearly, there's nothing to compare.
It's off with the school clothes and and on with the old;
The lead's the next job boy, so hurry TAKE HOLD!

They're on Starters Orders, and off through the gate.
And Mum shouts out after them, "Don't you be late".
The street's left behind now, Adventures out there;
Just the boy and his dog now, they haven't a care.

The moorlands are calling, the boy and his dog.
Through wide open territory, Bracken and bog.
The ancient old Parnership of wolf and his boy;
All played out here every day, both brimming with joy.

But time's running out, they must get home for tea.
As they both gallop home, in a land of the free.
"Get your dog fed, then get on round the table.
And do all your homework, as soon as you're able".

The boy bolts his food, and the dog even faster,
He wants to be finished to lay with his master.
With homework all done now, and the day almost through,
This boy and his dog, dream of pastures new.
