Yes, I know these are very old movies and were probably discussed to death in the Forum many years ago!
Recently, in a fit of nostalgia, I dug them out and watched them again.
I thought I'd share my thoughts with you.
It's years and years since I last saw Get Real - there were parts of that were better than I remembered and parts not as good as I remembered. However, I was glad to be reminded of one of my favourite bits.
The cute 16 year old says to his friend (a girl):
"Since I was eleven. That's when I discovered masturnbation. Mind you, it was another three years before I realised I could do it on my own."
A couple of weeks ago, I watched Beatiful Thing for the first time in years. I mostly enjoyed it, though it felt very dated.
Sadly, the crappy 'fantasy dancing' ending was just as bad as I remembered, and it basically ruined the movie for me.
