Thanks to all the authors who gave us Christmas stories this year.
All of them were good.

Two in particular really meshed with my own personal tastes and Christmas feelings.

The Tale of Duke Václav, by Charles Lacey
This is a clever, well-crafted story with a fairy-tale style. The use of some 'old-fashioned' terminology is enough to give it a historic atmosphere without affecting the clarity of meaning.
Maybe someone brighter than I would have foreseen the twist at the end, but I didn't, and it made me smile.

I hadn't read any of Charles Lacey's stories before, but from now on I'll certainly check out his other work.

Christmas Brothers - Chapters 1-10, by Rob Warr
For me, this heartwarming tale is ideal for the spirit of Christmas. The characters are well-drawn, and the narrator is downright loveable. I'm really glad that all ten chapters of the complete story have been published together. If I'd had to wait to find out the ending, I'd have been very annoyed and would be pestering Tim and the author to finish publishing it quickly! Laughing

I've read and enjoyed many of Rob Warr's stories in the past, and will continue looking out for his new works.

Kit
