I think this, though long, is well worth reading

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1751204/posts (with comments by the puyblic)

http://www.fordham.edu/halsall/pwh/glf-london.html (with no comments. I recommend this version to avoid being distracted by idiots)

It is the Gay Liberation Manifesto (1972)

Read it and consider how far we have come and how far we have to go.

The distance we have come is because of people of my generation and before (though not me. I was closeted in 1972) and those who have come after us.

The distance we have to go is in the hands of today's activists, and today's youth, Gay and Straight alike.

Thank you, Timmy...that was enlightening.

How far we have come, and yet there is a good deal of work ahead. The younger generations will have to maintain the fight, but they need hope to understand it could be far worse than it is now.

There is an ongoing analysis of the manifesto at http://tinyurl.com/6ymbqoq where there are, so far, two articles. The writer is taking the manifesto, section by section, and looking in general terms at progress.

... to further publicize this (wholly his) worthy and valuable endeavour which is now being republished at brodylevesque.blogspot.com, and resulting from Brody's connect to the newswires I'm sure a variety of other venues Worldwide.

The Serial is now in four parts, and well worth everyone here's time to wade through Timmy's competent analysis.

Not modest, but it appears that many people are not interested in this little piece of history. Today's article deals with 'Words', and reaches a surprising climax.
