... at all, be surprised by the printed or spoken word; but, these two articles slightly more than a year apart have me flummoxed.


The first from The Texas Tribune:

Feds Mull Circumcision Inquiries for Passports

This article clearly indicates there is rapidly approaching closing date for discussion on this measure; but, no rebuttal article is noted about it's outcome.


The second, an op-ed piece from The Bilerco Project:

Lincoln: A Life in the Closet?

Absolutely delicious!  Especially the historic implication surrounding same-sex marriage.  Why is it that Americans are only just now learning of Mr. Lincoln's lavender-tingled propensities (the latter word used without any obvious and intended pun)?

All this from the man who gave the World "The Emancipation Proclamation"; William Wilberforce, had Lincoln actually conceived of the latter concept in his teens, could well have benefited from Lincoln's earlier poetic ruminations had then then been widely known.
