JUST A BOY.
Please Mister, when you look at me, I'm just a boy as you can see.
Full of love, and life, and feeling; my innocence speaks out, to you - appealing.
Tread carefully with me today and my boyish heart will you repay.
giving you, in my full measure; endless fun and boyish treasure.

Do not send my boyhood reeling; with contempt, or double dealing.
But treat me kindly, be so good; I'll be obedient, as all boys should.
You have my trust for you to keep; watch over me, when I do sleep.
Protect me from the creatures of the deep.

I'll never give you cause to hate me, let me down, or thus berate me.
Neither injure, or betray my trust; protect this boy you know you must.
May the angels all around me, cast protective shields upon thee.
Kill stone dead, the monsters beneath my bed.

When my boyhood years are at an end; I'll be true, to you,- a friend.
And when it's time to be a man; I will help you all I can.
We fought the good fight, man and boy; to reap rewards of endless joy.
The end result will be, you see; when you Mister - look at me.

Jack has delicate touch for the way a boy thinks, his need for reassurance and support. Nicely done Jack. Keep them coming. We sometimes need to remember that boys are just boys, not necessarily self-confident jocks or uber-intelligent coming-out confidently, but boys with all the uncertainty that having to look up at life brings.

Thank you very much Soliceman.
I found it hard in places. I sometimes forget that we can actually be affected by our own work.

The inspiration came from a photo of a little boy I was yesterday.
He looked so vulnerable and innocent, I just wanted to hug him.

Jack.
