Blessed are the boys who have puppies this night;
you'll not find a cuter sight, try as you might.
So special a friendship, loyal and true;
so typically boyish, bluer than blue.

Matched by their charms, so vulnerable see?
meant not to touch, not to hold

The boy is the minder the lead holder and Master;
but the dog fully grown, will protect the hereafter.
Watching his back for villains and woes;
keeping the boy safe , wherever he goes.

Left all alone as the boy goes to school;
but that's how it is, with the Golden Rule.
Boys must behave, and puppies must too;
but when they're alone, there's nothing they can't do.

When the boy's a bit older, and puppy has grown;
they can roam across hillsides, far from home.
Exploring their World over moorlands to the sea;
"But don't forget" Mum says", Be home for tea".
